How to get another copy of the deed

You cannot download the incorporation deed from the Companies Registry. Find the authorised copy delivered when the company was formed or ask the adviser who handled the registration.

If you do not have it, request another copy from the notary who holds the official record. Provide the date, the notary's name, the protocol number and the company name. The notary will check that you are entitled to receive it and tell you the cost. The Notarial Association explains who can request a copy and how to locate the record.

• To prove what was agreed when the company was formed, use the complete copy of the deed. A single page or extract may omit articles, signatures or official endorsements.
• The incorporation deed and current registry information refer to different points in time. If there have been later changes, also check what is registered today.
• An information note is usually enough to check current details. To prove them formally, request the specific registry certificate required by the procedure.

How to request registry information

Open the official Companies Registry company search, find the company by tax number or name and choose the information note or certificate you need. The service displays the price before you complete the request.

• Make sure you are on the official domain before signing in or paying.
• Download and keep the complete original PDF.
• For directors, powers of attorney or articles, ask which exact certificate the recipient requires.
